4-Chlorophenoxyacetic Acid 98%TC Plant Hormone Growth Regulator CAS 122-88-3 4CPA 4-CPA
Solubility: Sparingly soluble in water. Readily soluble in most organic solvents. 4-CPA sodium salt is soluble in water.
Stability: It is stable at elevated temperatures (54 deg C) and on exposure to metals, but degrades (30% loss in 24 hours) on exposure to sunlight.

As plant growth regulator, it can be absorbed by plant via root, stem, leaf, bloom
1. 4-Chlorophenoxyacetic acid ( 4-CPA ) is used to prevent abscission of bloom and fruit, inhibit rooting of beans,
promote fruit set, induce formation of seedless fruit, through flower spraying.
2.4-Chlorophenoxyacetic acid ( 4-CPA ) can be used for ripening and fruit thinning.
3. 4-Chlorophenoxyacetic acid ( 4-CPA )performs better when used in combination with 0.1% monopotassium phosphate.
4. 4-Chlorophenoxyacetic acid ( 4-CPA ) also has herbicidal effect at high dosage
Mode of action
4-CPA can be absorbed by plant root, stem, leaf, flower, fruit. The biological activity duration is long.
Its main functions are as follow:
To promote fruit set and fruit enlargement;
To form seedless fruits.
